One of the landmarks we wanted to see in Tokyo is the Hachikō Memorial Statue (忠犬ハチ公像) in Shibuya City (渋谷). We were based in Honmachi (本町) and heading towards the landmark, we first needed to take the Keio New Line (京王新線) from the Hatsudai Station (初台駅).
Alighting at the sprawling Shinjuku Station (新宿駅), we transferred to the Yamanote Line (山手線), about a 5-minute walk. From the Shinjuku Station, there are stops at Yoyogi (代々木駅) and Harajuku (原宿駅). We got off at the Shibuya Station and took exit No. 8, a.k.a. the Hachikō Exit. The target landmark is just a few meters from the particular train station exit.
